uses proprietary sputtered thin film strain
gauge technology to create rugged sensors with
exceptional long term stability. These highly
sophisticated load cells are manufactured in
high quantities using state-of-the-art equipment.
The compact sensor with its simple beam mounting
configuration can be used to electronically
measure force or displacement in a wide variety
of applications. Custom characteristics can
be provided for high volume OEM users.

Microcomm's Low Profile Single Point Load Cells
Series MI-3190-S230, are low profile single
point sensors intended for applications requiring
accurate measurement of forces up to 40 pounds-force.
It can be used with a rigidly mounted platform
or to measure tensile or compressive forces.
A 10,000 O wheatstone bridge offers extremely
low power consumption for extended battery life
in portable products. Its thin-film metal strain
gauge circuit enables a long-term stability
of better than 0.1% per year.
Ideal for scales, weighing bottles or bags
in medical instrumentation, laboratory use,
robotics or general industrial weighing applications.
Options on various specifications and mounting
configurations are available.

MI-3190-S251, are low profile, single point
OEM load cells offering high accuracy at a low
price. Only .71" high, the S251 is ideal
for medical instruments, low profile scales
and other low profile, high resolution applications.
A 3,000 ohm thin film strain gauge bridge provides
extremely low power consumption for battery
and current loop applications. Capacities available
include 200g, 600g, 1kg, 2kg, 3kg, 5kg, 10kg
full scale.

Sensors Series MI-3190-S400, The S400 range
of 'button' style load cells were designed for
those force measurement applications where space
is at a premium. Constructed from 17-4PH stainless
steel, the devices are available in full scale
capacities from 50 lb to 1000 lb and come complete
with shielded cable to custom lengths.
Applications include process control, press
tools, orthopedic instruments and weighing.

Microcomm's Mini Load Cells Series MI-3190-S610,
are miniature load cells, which can be used
in both tension and compression. Combining overload
protection and low profile, the S610 can be
used in a variety of applications. It is often
used with an in-line force measurement such
as a scale or medical bag weighing application.
With a bridge resistance of 5000O it has extremely
low power consumption and therefore can be used
in portable, ambulatory and battery operated
products
With full-scale capacities of 100g through
50 kg (100 lb) and flexible #4-40 threads on
both the top and bottom, the S610 is a flexible
platform, which can be configured for many varied
force measurement tasks. The load cell comes
with a compression fitting which converts it
to a pure compression load cell.
